There is nothing worse than to be confined in a vehicle with someone with bad breath. It's enough to make you want to get out and walk. The only thing worse is if you are the person with the bad breath.
Before you decide to start walking to work to save yourself the embarrassment, realize that all the people that you will come in contact with that day, will also have the curse of halitosis. It's just that for some people a little bad morning breath is quickly removed by simply brushing their teeth and for other is a little more difficult to find a bad breath solution.
Now if you eat an onion for breakfast, then yes your breakfast might have had something to do with it, but it's not the food we eat, but the amount left in our teeth that causes the bad breath. Where bacteria grows so does the odor. Halitosis is no reason to go hungry, but what you eat can actually help fight against bad breath.
We all need food to carry us through the day that in itself can help you fight bad breath. The problem is at night when we are sleeping and our mouths are inactive that bacteria grow in warp speed causing us to have dragon breath in the morning.
If this is the extent of your problem, then likely good oral hygiene will solve the problem. For those that brush their teeth and floss, use mouthwash and still find people backing away from them, may perhaps be dealing with what is known as digestive halitosis. Your digestive enzymes will be continually at work especially if you do not eat giving off bad odor. So the best thing to do in order to get rid of morning digestive halitosis is to eat something right away.
Here is something you can try, instead of getting out of bed and heading straight for Mr. coffee or having tea, have a big glass of water first as water is a natural bad breath solution that washes away bacteria causing offensive odors.
Another solution that the older generation discovered and still works today, is to use citrus first thing in the morning. Some would go as far as having a lemon next to their bed and squeeze it in their mouth upon waking up. Ouch! If that seems a little extreme, and too much of a sour wake-up call, include citrus fruits like lemons and oranges in your breakfast routine. Citrus stimulates the saliva which is the bodys' natural way of cleaning the mouth keeping it moist and acidic making it impossible for bacteria to grow.
There is no reason to walk to work, hide in your office or hibernate all together because of bad breath. A bad breath solution is generally as simple as good oral hygiene and choosing the right foods at the right time.
